Neerja 3rd Day Collection – Sonam Kapoor’s Neerja had a tremendous first Sunday with the collection of 9+ crores.

Sonam Kapoor and Shabana Azmi starrer Neerja had a superb opening weekend at the domestic Box Office. After an average opening with the collection of 4.7 crores, the movie witnessed superb growth on Saturday and Sunday. The movie is driving on strong WOM and superb reviews which are converting into big Box Office numbers. ‘Neerja’ earned 7.6 crores and 9.71 crores on Saturday and Sunday respectively to take the first weekend collection to 22.01 crores.

The movie was released last Friday and has been winning hearts. The WOM from audience and reviews from the critics have been extremely positive. Released on around 700 screens, the movie is performing exceptionally well in metros and high-end cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Gurgaon, Pune, Hyderabad, and Chandigarh.The response is terrific and we might see a big increase in the no.of screens from the next week.

Considering the current pace, we expect the movie remain strong on coming days. Made on a low budget of 21 crores, the movie is already in a safe zone and will surely turn out to be one of the biggest hits of Sonam Kapoor. The movie will establish Sonam as a good actress, something she was eagerly waiting for a long time.

“Neerja” is based on the story of flight attendant Neerja Bhanot, who sacrificed her life to save the passengers of the hijacked Pan Am Flight 73. Directed by Ram Madhvani, the movie features Sonam Kapoor as Neerja, Shabana Azmi as her mother Rama and Shekhar Ravjiani as her love interest.
