Narcos: Mexico is a dangerous, thrilling, nerve-wracking and super addictive crime drama web TV series. The thriller-cum-action series of the larger-than-life story of drug lord Pablo Escobar has caught the fancy of most Netflix viewers. Narcos: Mexico was originally intended to be the fourth season of the Netflix famous series Narcos. But the makers developed it as a companion series. While the original series was focussed on the illegal drug trade in Colombia, Narcos: Mexico focusses on the illegal drug mafia in Mexico.
The first season of Narcos: Mexico premiered on Netflix in November 2018 which was followed by much-anticipated hard-hitting season 2 in February 2020. Created and produced by Chris Brancato, Carlo Bernard, and Doug Miro, Narcos: Mexico is one crime-cum-biographical drama which may or may not have season 3. Here is everything you need to know about the third season.
Narcos: Mexico Season 3 Plot
Narcos: Mexico traces the life events of drug mafia Pablo Escobar and Guadalajara cartel in the city of Mexico in the 1980s. The season 1 of Narcos Mexico had projected very well the rise of drug trafficking in Mexico which was followed by the super saga of Félix Gallardo (Diego Luna) reining the city as the Supreme Drug Lord.
Interestingly, the cartels once he ran turned their backs against him leading to his arrest. The season 2 finished on a high note with the arrest of Félix Gallardo (Diego Luna) under the charges of his crimes like the murder of DEA Agent Kiki Camarena.
While there is no announcement, fans are hopeful that season 3 will be out sooner or later. Netflix was expected to make an announcement in March 2020 but that didn’t happen due to corona outbreak.

The second season ended on a cliffhanger and in season 3 we may see Amado Carrillo Fuentes, who seized control of the Juárez Cartel after assassinating his boss Rafael Aguilar Guajardo take control of the drug Mafia in Mexico.

Where to watch the trailer of Narcos: Mexico Season 3?
The makers have not released any official trailer. In the meanwhile, you can rehash your memories by watching the 10-episode-long two seasons of Narcos: Mexico on Netflix.
Narcos: Mexico Season 3 Release Date
Well, going by the trend the makers only let out announcements regarding a renewal season one month after the show airs. For instance, Narcos: Mexico Season 1 aired on November 16, 2018. A few weeks later, on 5 December 2018, the showrunners got their fans all excited when they announced the upcoming Season 2. Some 14 months later, second season aired on Netflix 13 February 2020.
We should have had some official announcement from the makers but nothing has surfaced yet. There are no reports related to the production of the show. The production of all Netflix shows is on halt due to corona outbreak. Therefore, it seems fans should not expect to see the new series until 2021 at least. We may have to wait for long.
