After delivering super hit Tamil movies like Vikram Vedha, Master, ’96, Tamil superstar is all set to debut in Bollywood with Mumbaikar.
In the last 10 years, Vijay Sethupathi has emerged as one of the most prolific actors in the South film industry. With many super hit Tamil movies like Vikram Vedha, ’96 and Super Deluxe and Master behind him, the south Indian superstar is all set to make a grand Bollywood debut with Mumbaikar.
Directed by Santosh Sivan, Mumbaikar also stars acting powerhouses like Vikrant Massey, Tanya Maniktala, Sanjay Mishra, Ranvir Shorey, and Sachin Khedekar. Mumbaikar is the Hindi remake of 2017 Tamil action thriller, Maanagaram.
Bollywood producer Karan Johar revealed the first look poster of the movie on his Twitter account. He wrote, “Promises to be a stunning cinematic experience! Vijay Sethupathi fans are super excited with this development as they were eagerly waiting for his Bollywood debut. The news has brought a lot of excitement as it opens the entry gate for anther South superstar to the Hindi film industry.
Sethupathi was about to debut in Bollywood with Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha. However, the latest reports suggest that the actor has opted out of the film due to schedule issues.
Apart from Mumbaikar, Sethupathi has two more Hindi projects in his kitty. If reports are to be believed he has been signed for Sriram Raghavan’s next thriller which stars Katrina Kaif. Some sources are claiming that south superstar has been finalised for Raj and DK’s next web series which stars Shahid Kapoor and Rashi Khanna.
