Amazon Prime Video unveiled the trailer of the upcoming anthology web series Modern Love Mumbai. It is the first of the three Indian adaptations of the hit US anthology of the same name. The other two are Modern Love Chennai and Modern Love Hyderabad. The Mumbai chapter of the series has six stories helmed by different filmmakers. The anthology series will release on Prime Video on May 13, 2022. There are a total of six episodes in the first season covering six different stories. All episodes will be dropped on May 13.

As mentioned above, the series is a collection of six stories helmed by six filmmakers. Here are more details:
- Raat Rani directed by Shonali Boase stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Bhupendra Jadawat, and Dilip Prabhavalkar.
- Baai helmed by Hansal Mehta stars Tanuja, Pratik Gandhi, and Ranveer Brar.
- Mumbai Dragon stars Yeo Yann Yann, Meiyang Chang, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Naseeruddin Shah. It is directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.
- My Beautiful Wrinkles starring Sarika, Danesh Razvi, Ahsaas Channa, and Tanvi Azmi is helmed by Alankrita Shrivastava.
- Dhruv Sehgal’s I Love Thane features Masaba Gupta, Ritwik Bhowmik, Prateik Babbar, Aadar Malik, and Dolly Singh.
- Chitrangada Singh and Arshad Warsi star in Nupur Asthana’s Cutting Chai.
Modern Love Mumbai takes inspiration from an American romantic comedy anthology series Modern Love by John Carney. The original series was based on the weekly column of the same name published by The New York Times. Modern Love Mumbai is produced by Pritish Nandy Communications.
