The trade wasn’t much sure about the film but I expected a good opening from it. The high pre-release buzz has played an important role in getting a good start. Mohit Surk’s film Malang recorded around 20% occupancy in the morning shows on Friday. This is a good opening for a film which has no big star. As the competition is low, Malang would be hoping for good growth over the first weekend. I am expecting it to earn around Rs 30 crore in the first weekend. The budget of Malang is around Rs 60 crore. It needs to cross Rs 70 crore to become a box office hit.
