About The Series (Structure of Play)
This is a dramatic story about Rani Bharti, a housewife and the wife of Bihar’s chief minister, Bheema. Her only concerns are her home and her marriage. When her husband resigns as Bihar’s Chief Minister, she wants to collect her belongings and return to the countryside. But her life changes when her husband, Bihar’s Chief Minister, is forced to announce his successor’s name. While his party members are waiting to hear who has been chosen, he names Rani as his successor, shocking everyone.
The political television show, which covers multiple seasons, was largely inspired by what unfolded in Bihar in the 1990s when Lalu Prasad Yadav selected his homemaker wife Rabri Devi as his successor.
Maharani Plot
The series’ plot is loosely modeled on the life of Lalu Prasad Yadav’s famous political wife and former chief minister of Bihar, Rabri Devi. What to expect from Maharani Season 2?
Huma Qureshi did a fantastic job portraying Rani Bharti, the CM of Bihar, in the first season of Maharani. She will return with Soham Shah, who will continue to play Bheema Bharti, a character who was modeled after the former chief minister of Bihar, Lalu Prasad Yadav.
In the second season, Huma Qureshi returns as chief minister Rani Bharti of ‘new Bihar’. As violence raises in the state, she pledges to tackle hooligans. In the trailer, we witness how several incidents give rise to political unrest.
