One of the most-awaited Tamil movies of 2022 Mahaan has opted for a direct digital release. Starring Tamil cinema superstar Vikram and his son Dhruv Vikram, Karthik Subbaraj’s action-thriller Mahaan will premiere next month on Amazon Prime Video. Here’s everything you need to know about the movie.
Mahaan OTT Release Date and Platform
Mahaan will not release in theatres as the producers have opted for digital release. The action entertainer will make its digital debut on Amazon Prime Video on Feb 10, 2022. The official Twitter account of the streaming giant shared this news:

Apart from the original Tamil version, the movie will release in Kannada under the title Maha Purusha. In Malayalam and Telugu languages, it will release under the same title.
What do we know about the movie?
Tamil superstar Chiyaan Vikram and his son Dhruv Vikram are collaborating for the first time. The movie also marks Subbaraj and Vikram’s first collaboration. Mahaan is touted to be a revenge drama like Rajinikanth’s Petta which was also directed by Karthik Subbaraj.
Both Vikram and Dhruv Viram are playing gangsters in the movie. Mahaan marks Vikram’s return to the gangster movies after Gemini (2002) and Bheemaa (2008).
