Love Alarm is a Netflix Original romantic Korean drama series based on the webtoon of the same name by author Chon Kye-Young. The first season of the series premiered on Netflix on August 22, 2019. After a long gap of 19 months, the second series arrived on Netflix on March 12, 2021. The series follows technology users that find love through a mobile app that notifies them when someone within their vicinity has romantic feelings for them.

Love Alarm Season 3 Netflix Renewal Status
At the time of writing this, Netflix hasn’t renewed the Korean romantic drama series for season three. It’s been around a year since the last season arrived on Netflix and we are still waiting for an official update about any possibility of the third season.
However, there are rumours on the Internet that the series’ producers had decided to renew it for one more season. According to the Nilsen Report website, the series’ creators have accepted fans’ demand and have green-lit the third and final season. The second season ended on a concluding note with Jojo and Hye Yeong coming together as a couple, with their Love Alarms ringing for each other.
Meanwhile, Sun Oh still has feelings for Jojo though he is in a relationship with his girlfriend Yook Jo. He is confident that one day she will ring her love alarm. The third season could explore Sun Oh’s growing relationship with Yook Jo. We may see more relationships budding in the upcoming season.
There is no shortage of source material as the webtoon on which the series is based is still ongoing. The series renewal depends on whether Netflix is satisfied with the moderate success of the second season in terms of viewership.

The first season premiered in Aug 2019. The second season delayed by around 8 months due to the pandemic. It finally arrived in March 2021. Most of the shows on Netflix have a gap of around 12 months between their consecutive seasons.
It’s already been around a year since the second season arrived. There is no official update about the future of the show. So, Love Alarm Season 3 is definitely releasing in 2022. If the series gets renewed in a month or two, it should be out in the first half of 2023.
