Laid Back Camp Season 2 Release Date Announced, Details Inside

Laid Back Camp Season 2: Studio C-Station has announced the release date of the second season of Laid Back Camp anime. Read on to know more details.

Laid-Back Camp (Yuru Camp, known as Yurukyan in Japanese) is a slice of life anime TV series based on a manga series of the same name. Written and illustrated by Afro, the manga series was first published on May 23, 2015. Soon after the manga series became popular, a Japanese animation studio C-Station planned an anime TV series.

The first season comprising of 12 episodes aired in Japan from January 4, 2018 to March 28, 2018. Seeing the buzz, the makers released three special episodes between March 28, 2018 and July 5, 2018. Much to the delight of fans, the makers are now releasing the second season of Laid-Back Camp.

On the official website of Laid-Back Camp, it was announced that the second season will be broadcast on Japanese TV from January 7, 2021. Here is what the announcement says:

From January 7, 2021, AT-X, TOKYO MX, BS11 and other 8 stations nationwide will start broadcasting in sequence! In addition, terrestrial simultaneous distribution will be decided at d anime store, ABEMA!

Like the first season, C-Station is again producing the anime series with Yoshiaki Kyougoku and Jin Tanak back as director and writer respectively. Mutsumi Sasaki is once again designing the characters and Akiyuki Tateyama composing the music.

Laid Back Camp (Yuru Camp) Plot

Yuru camp is not one of those animes having an absorbing plot. As a slice of life anime series, it has a pretty simple and clean plot. The anime series narrates the adventures of two alfresco young girls Rin Shima, Nadeshiko Kagamihara, and their friends as they travel to various campsites across the country.

Rin is a very simple and non-materialistic girl. Unlike other girls of her age, Rin loves spending her free time alone camping at the base of the beautiful Mount Fuji. During one such camping session, she met another girl called Nadeshiko who gets lost. Like Rin, Nadeshiko is heading to Mount Fuji but fell asleep on the way. She gets separated from her sister. Lost and alone, the only thing Nadeshiko could do is find her way back home and hope to reunite with her sister.

This encounter marks the beginning of a heartwarming tale of friendship between two girls. Yuru Camp is one pleasing anime series you would love to watch.

Rin Shima

Voiced by: Nao Tōyama

Rin is the main lead of the show. She is a young and simple girl. She loves to camp alone rather than go on exotic and expensive vacations like other girls of her age.

Nadeshiko Kagamihara

Voiced by: Yumiri Hanamori

Nadeshiko is a dynamic girl who befriends Rin on her way to Mount Fuji. She instantly forms a close bond with Rin. The animes series chronicles the adventures of Rin Shima, Nadeshiko Kagamihara, and their friends as they travel to various campsites across the country

Chiaki Ōgaki

Voiced by: Sayuri Hara

Chiaki is a co-president of the Outdoor Activities Circle. Interestingly, Chiaki also shares her birthday with Nadeshiko

Aoi Inuyama

Voiced by: Aki Toyosaki

Another important character in the show, Aoi is the co-president of The Outdoor Activities Club.

Ena Saitō

Voiced by: Rie Takahashi

Rin’s cheerful classmate owns a dog Chikuwa and has very distinct clothing.
