Bollywood reigning queen Katrina Kaif is on cloud nine post success of latest action flick Bang Bang co-starring the Greek God look-alike Hrithik Roshan. Due to her high popularity, the prestigious Madame Tussaud’s has decided to immortalize Katrina Kaif in her wax-statue.
Katrina Kaif will be the next Bollywood star in line after Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Kareena Kapoor, to be immortalized in the life-like wax statue. In a recent poll conducted by the Madame Tussaud’s official website, the fans were asked to vote for their next favorite Bollywood actress whose wax-statue they want to see. Katrina beat Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra by a very small margin to become a wax figure at Madame Tussauds.
The actress was much elated as the whole process of selecting her was done by her fans and the decision makes it even more special. Katrina feels it is a great honour to be highlighted alongside the great icons of the Indian film industry. Now, the actress is busy with the process giving her measurements. She has closely collaborated with the artists and sculptors to select a outfit and dancing pose for the model. She has so far given one sitting in Mumbai when all the dimensions required to make an accurate resemblance were collected.
To make Katrina’s wax model, 20 artists will be working on the statue, which will be made at a cost of £150,000. The statue is expected to be completed for 2015 Spring when it is hoped Katrina will unveil the figure herself at the legendary London attraction.
That’s not all, Katrina was recently even declared No.1 Actress of 2013 by Times Celebex, alongside ex-beau Salman Khan. Very long way Katrina from BOOM to Bang Bang!
