Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Half Girlfriend’ has been in the news for quite a while now because of its starcast. To be directed by Mohit Suri, ‘Half Girlfriend’ is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s novel of the same name.
As per the latest reports coming up, Katrina Kaif and Sushant Singh Rajput are finalized to play lovers in the movie. The starcast of the movie has been one of the hottest topics of the B-Town for quite a while. Initially, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt were supposed to play leads in the movie but both turned it down and preferred Karan Johar’s Shuddhi. Even, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor were also approached by Mohit Suri but the things didn’t worked out.
It seems that the starcast is finalized now and we will see a new jodi of Sushant and Katrina on big screen. Katrina and Sushant were supposed to star in ‘Fitoor‘ which finally went to ‘Aditya Roy Kapoor‘ after Sushant walked out of the project.
On the work front, Katrina is busy with ‘Kal Kisne Dekha’ opposite Sidharth Malhotra while Sushant is working on M.S. Dhoni’s biopic.
