Jagga Jasoos suffered a lot due to it’s leads but the director Anurag Basu says Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor became more professional post break-up.
Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor’s break-up was a rather shocking news for us. It created the biggest problem for Anurag Basu, whose Jagga Jasoos was still on the floor. But he says Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor became more professional post break-up.
During a recent interview, Anurag Basu denied all rumors of Jagga Jasoos shooting being affected by it all. He said-
“Rather they (Ranbir and Katrina) became more professional so that the work doesn’t get affected. They were more concerned that the their personal equation or relationship doesn’t become a hurdle for the film. We were shooting and were amazed with the stories that used to come about them (Ranbir and Katrina) and the delay. Also, reports that they are not sharing vanity van came out but they were never sharing vans.”
He went on to say that “I was surprised… They acted as if nothing is wrong and they are absolutely fine. I was concerned with what was being captured on camera and not with what happened between them.”
In another interview, Katrina Kaif had kind-of blamed Phantom and Fitoor‘s failure on her relationship with Ranbir. She said “In both those films, my concentration was not 100 per cent. My priorities were slightly different at that point in time. I guess I was in a very relaxed space. My focus was not what it should have been on a film set. That was also an important lesson for me to learn. If a person takes things for granted or takes it easy, it will always show and the film will obviously suffer. I know I could have done better. Not that I didn’t try, I did. Especially in Fitoor, we all tried a lot. But maybe, I could have tried harder and could have given more.”
Now that Katrina has learnt her lesson, can we expect more from her in Baar Baar Dekho and Jagga Jasoos? Jagga Jasoos is a comedy-drama film which features Ranbir, Katrina Kaif and Adah Sharma in lead roles, it is scheduled for release on April 7, 2017. While Baar Baar Dekho is scheduled to release on 9th September, 2016.
