Kareena and Preity to play Saif Ali Khan’s ex-girlfriends in Happy Ending

Bollywood’s stunning divas Kareena Kapoor Khan and Preity Zinta, who were last seen onscreen together in the song “Happening’ from Main Aur Mrs Khanna, are back on the silver screen yet again. The beauties will be seen playing Saif Ali Khan’s ex-girlfriends in his upcoming movie Happy Ending directed by Raj and Krishna DK. Saif’s leading lady in the movie will be Ileana D’cruz.

A source reveals, “The director duo were looking for actresses whose romantic camaraderie with Saif has clicked in the past. It was Saif who suggested Preity’s name who has successfully paired with him twice in the past in Kya Kehna, Kal Ho Na Ho and Salaam Namaste.

Saif and Preity are good friends and Saif personally called up Preity to do the role which she happily obliged. “Her character is the anchor in Saif’s life. He plays a successful author struggling with a writer’s block,” says the source. Preity even tweeted a pic from the sets of Happy Ending :

But the highlight of the film will be Kareena Kapoor, real-life wife of Saif Ali Khan. She too will be seen playing Saif’s ex-girlfriend in the past. However, her role will be slightly less than Preity’s.

Kareena has worked with Saif in Omakara, Tashan, Kurbaan and Agent Vinod before. They are the hottest married pair of B-Town.

Director Krishna DK confirms, “Yes, Saif called Preity and it was sweet of her to agree. Bebo’s(Kareena) inclusion was more of a spontaneous decision as she was with Saif in Los Angeles where we were shooting.”

The rom-com also stars Govinda, Ranvir Shorey and Kalki Koelchin. The film is being produced by Saif’s production house Illuminati Films and is slated to release on 5th December, 2014.
