Kaabil And Raees Third Week Box Office Collection: Sustaining On Lower Level

Kaabil And Raees Third Week Box Office Collection: Sustaining On Lower Level

Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil clashed at domestic Box Office on 25 Jan 2017. With the release of Jolly LLB 2 last week, both Kaabil and Raees witnessed a huge drop in collections. A lot has been said about the manipulation in Box Office numbers done by producers of both movies. We can’t rely on producers numbers in this case and thus we are sharing the trade figures with you.

Raees 3rd week Box Office collection

Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees has almost completed its Box Office journey. The money managed to 2.6 crores in the third week, thus taking its three weeks total to 128.5 crores. At the best, the lifetime business of the film will be 130 crores and the distributor share will be around 67 crores.

The expectations were large from Shah Rukh Khan and Raees has underperformed at the domestic Box Office. Ideally, the movie should have earned 150 crores, considering its clash with Kaabil. It is currently the highest grossing movie of 2017 and is expected to remain at the top of the list for some time.

First Week – 1,10,05,00,000

Second Week – 15,90,00,000

Third Week – 2,60,00,000

TOTAL – 1,28,55,00,000

Kaabil 3rd week Box Office collection

Kaabil hasn’t been able to pick up since its opening. Though the movie has beaten Raees by a good margin in the third week, the overall numbers are low. Kaabil was expected to cross 100 crores easily but the clash with Raees has severely affected it. The movie earned around 4 crores in the third week to take its three weeks total collections to 86.5 crores. It will end its Box Office run this week with the lifetime collections of 88 crores. The distributor share of the film will finish at around 42 crores.

First Week – 65,74,00,000

Second Week – 16,66,00,000

Third Weekend – 4,10,00,000

TOTAL – 86,50,00,000

Hrithik Roshan needs to focus on the choice of his films now. His last two releases, Kaabil and Mohenjo Daro have underperformed at Box Office.

Overall, the clash has affected both movies. If released solely, both movies would have earned 150 crores.

Note: The figures mentioned above are trade figures shared by official Box Office India site. The producer’s figures have a lot of difference.
