Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber is having his maiden India concert on May 10 at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. Fans cannot curtail their excitement as the singer is arriving in India today. The 23 year old will have a 5 day visit in India. The organisers White Fox Media are making sure that all arrangements are made during his India tour.
Two five-star hotels have been reserved for security reasons. The hotels have redesigned his suite and his room will be adorned with antique furniture and signature Kashmiri bedroom linen. They are converting one hotel into Bieber’s private villa with three floors booked for him and his team. There will also be an elevator booked for the artist alone. The Sorry singer is very fond of yoga and there is going to be a special Yoga casket containing aromatic essential oils such as jasmine, mogra, rose and camphor incense sticks and books on chakras and yoga asanas in his suite. Items like a ping pong table, sofa set, washing machine, a massage table and a Jacuzzi are all being flown in for the singer. He has also demanded for a particular video game console.
Justin Bieber has an entourage of 120 people and there have been arrangements made for 10 luxury sedans and two Volvo buses. A Rolls Royce will be at the disposal of the artist. He will be served authentic Indian cuisine from all the states on his first day in India. The butlers are specially flown in from Rajasthan. He has also demanded a platter of organic turkey, lettuce, colby and provolone cheese and black olives. The promoters have also kept a private jet and chopper to meet the artist’s immediate travel demands in India. Bieber will be flying into the stadium on a chopper.
Singer Kailash Kher who was amongst the first to comment on Sonakshi’s gig at the concert says, “They’re big stars and when they come, it becomes a big deal. It’s the usual practice of international artists and they get what they want. In our country, especially, organisers go out of their way to please them. It’s a standard template that international artists have adopted and they become even more stubborn and rigid about those demands when they perform in India.” Music composer Anu Malik adds “Pop stars are pop stars. People, especially the youngsters, are crazy for them. I remember when Michael Jackson came to India and I was crazy about his gig. He, too, had a list of demands that were fulfilled. When the whole country is excited about such a big concert, one has to complete their list of demands. I’m glad that someone like Bieber is coming to India.”
The third day for the Grammy winner is reserved for sightseeing. Sights like Gateway of India, Kala Ghoda, and Mani Bhavan are in the list. Bieber also plans to attend a black-tie boxing night. On the fourth and fifth day, he will visit New Delhi and Jaipur. A trip to Taj Mahal is also on the list. We all are eagerly waiting for his performance that is slated on May 10 at 7 pm.
