The first week collection of Jan Harry Met Sejal is one of the lowest for Shah Rukh Khan’s films released in last five years. Shah Rukh Khan and Imtiaz Ali fans had huge expectations from the film but it has disappointed big time.
Jab Harry Met Sejal 1st week collection: Day-Wise Report
After an average opening weekend with the collection of 45.75 crores, the movie saw a huge drop on Monday and earned just 7.15 crores despite Rakshbandhan holiday. just 7.15 On Tuesday, the movie crashed and managed to earn just 3 crores. The movie continues to drop on weekdays and earned around 2.5 and 2 crores and Wednesday and Thursday.
This kind of trend clearly suggests that the film has been totally rejected by the audience. Jab Harry Met Sejal is on the verge to become of the biggest flops of the year. While everyone was predicting it to cross at least 150 crores, the movie is now struggling to cross 75 crores mark.
Jab Harry Met Sejal First Week Collection: Way Ahead
With the collection of 2 crores on Thursday, Jab Harry Met Sejal first week collection stands at 60.4 crores. With the release of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ today, JHMS will continue to struggle and may wrap up its box office journey in this week only.
With the current trend, it seems that the movie will find it difficult to even cross 75 crores at the domestic box office. With the collection of 60.4 crores, JHMS is the 7th highest opening week grosser of 2017. It failed to beat the first week numbers of movies like Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Jolly LLB 2.
Made on a budget of 80 crores, the movie needs to earn 140 crores to be in a safe zone which is a distant dream now. Jab Harry Met Sejal is SRK’s biggest flop in the recent years. Even last year release, FAN managed to earn 85 crores at the domestic box office.
Shah Rukh Khan is going through the worst phase of his career and the debacle of JHMS has only worsened the situation. He hasn’t signed any other film except Anand L Rai’s next which is slated for release on Christmas 2018. It’s high for Shah Rukh to come up with some good movies as his contemporaries, Aamir, Salman and Akshay are having a great time at the box office.

It is a average movie. I am a biggest fan of srk but it does not means I loved his worst movie.
This is a great movie. Seen it four times now. Don’t know why it has been trashed so badly. Sure it’s a conspiracy to de-throne the king by his haters. Make up your own mind and watch it this weekend.
