Today we will see the release of two romantic movies of diverse genres. A conventional rom-com Phata Poster Nikala Hero and an unconventional The Lunchbox which has won praises and awards at the Cannes, Telluride and many other major film festivals.
Phata Poster Nikala Hero
Phata Poster Nikala Hero is a romantic action comedy directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, whose last project Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani was a major commercial success. The movie is produced by Ramesh Taurani of Tips Films.
Shahid Kapoor and Ileana D’Cruz (last seen in Barfi) are the main leads and supported by Saurabh Shukla, Padmini Kolhapure, Sanjay Mishra, Darshan Jariwala, Zakir Hussain and Nargis Fakhri, in a special appearance. Salman Khan will also be seen in a cameo role.
This movie is very important for Shahid Kapoor to make a real mark in Bollywood as we know that in spite of fabulous talent he has not done anything worth praising leaving Kaminey.

The Lunchbox
The other release of the week is The Lunchbox which is directed by Ritesh Batra and produced by four production houses UTV Motion Pictures, DAR Motion Pictures, Dharma Productions (Karan Johar) and Sikhya Entertainment (Anurag Kashyap and Guneet Monga). Moreover, it has four co-producers from across the world – National Film Development Corporation aka NFDC (India), Rohfilm (Germany), Cine Mosaic (USA) and ASAP Films (Germany).
It is the story of two strangers played by Irfan and Nimrat Kaur who develops a sweet relationship without meeting each other through a unique medium i.e. a lunchbox. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is also playing an important role in this unconventional love tale..

I’ve not seen the film but what I do know is that it marked the film where Shahid Kapoor proved himself as an actor. I’ve been told the film is very good, and the music too…i absolutely LOVE this movie. i don’t know why because I know there is not real plot but its so sweet and simple and … PURE…maybe its the amazing chemistry between Shahid and ileana D’cruz or the simplicity but I’ve seen it sooo many times
