South Park is one of the oldest and most popular American animated sitcoms. This show, created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone started airing on August 13, 1997. How many seasons of South Park are there?
There are a total of 25 seasons. The most recent episode of the series, Episode 317 titled ‘Credigree Weed St. Patrick’s Day Special’, aired on March 16, 2022. The 25th season of the animated sitcom series had just 6 episodes. Season 24 had four episodes, two regular and two specials. The regular episodes were aired on Comedy Central while the specials were released on Paramount+.
The series earned innumerable awards including five Primetime Emmy Awards. The show’s popularity resulted in the creation of a theatre film which came out in June 1999. Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and Pam Brady were the three writers of the film, and Trey Parker himself directed it. It gained a lot of popularity and set the box office on fire.
The series encircles the daily life of four boys- Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman, and Kenny McCormick. It is based on the location of Colorado town. The show has been well-known for being evil as it depicts dark humor comedy.
South Park left Hulu and moved to HBO Max: It’s the best place to watch all seasons and episodes
Hulu was the former home of South Park, for around 5 years. In 2014, Hulu signed a contract with South Park Digital Studios. As per the contract, it obtained the rights to stream the show for three years. Though, these rights were extended for two more years and expired in 2020. All these years, all 23 seasons of the show were on Hulu. As a result, it is listed in the ‘Most-Watched Shows’ of all time on Hulu.
South Park bid farewell to Hulu on June 23, 2020, and moved to HBO Max. The move was announced in October 2019.
Warner Media, the origin company of HBO, made an announcement at the end of October 2019. It stated that in May 2020, Warner Media will be launching a new subscription streaming platform, HBO Max.
On June 24, 2020, the emerging streaming platform embraced all the seasons of South Park. Also, the contract states that HBO Max has rights to the next three seasons of South Park. So, HBO Max is the best option to stream all seasons of South Park.
Unfortunately, five episodes of South Park aren’t available to stream on HBO Max. These five episodes comprise:
“Super Best Friends” from the fifth season
Part 1 and 2 of “Cartoon Wars” from the tenth season
Episodes “200” and “201” from the fourteenth season
Additionally, when new episodes of South Park premiere on the Comedy Central cable TV network, they will appear on HBO Max 24 hours later.
