It is now confirmed that Imtiaz Ali and Shah Rukh Khan’s film together to be titled as ‘The Ring’.
Imtiaz Ali and Shah Rukh Khan‘s film together is tentatively titled as ‘The Ring’ for the time being. The movie will also feature Anushka Sharma in the lead role. The film will be shot in five different countries across Europe.
Shah Rukh Khan had opened up about the movie while talking to the media on the occasion of Eid. He had said-
“Imtiaz has a different language of love. I told him I wanted to do a happy love story. And this is one, but keeping my age in mind, it’s not an upbeat, young love story. But, Imtiaz has a nice take on it. And hopefully, people will like it. Working with Imitiaz is a big deal. I thought of becoming an actor after I saw his Jab We Met. Imtiaz’s films have such strong female characters and that thought was ignited in my mind. When I am having readings with him for this film, I can sense that he is a sensitive and insightful director. It is amazing to be a part of such great creative process. As for Shah Rukh, he is such a sweetheart. This is my third film with him, a hat-trick of sorts. I am excited that this is an out-and-out romantic film after Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Jab Tak Hai Jaan.”
The shooting is expected to wrap up by November or December this year. The movie is expected to hit the screens in the early second half of 2017.
