Humshakals Box Office Collection Prediction : Don’t expect a big opening day

Its seems like Sajid Khan is quite good at self realization. The ace director who is well known for his comedies like Heyy babyy, Housefull, Housefull 2 has tried desi action masala entertainer Himmatwala last year. The movie bombed at Box Office like a hell and soon after that Sajid realizes what he is good at.
The director is back in his comfort zone with a comic caper Humshakals. Humshakals is in news not because it has big star-cast with all the lead actors in triple role but its a comedy coming from Sajid Khan.

The movie is releasing tomorrow devoid of huge expectations and pre-release buzz.  Before predicting the fate of Humshakals at Box Office, there are few things that needs to be look at.

First, Sajid Khan’s comedies always worked at Box Office among the audiences be it Heyy Babyy, Housefull or Housefull 2. So, chances are good that Humshakals may also work at Box Office. Moreover, as depicted from the promos it seems like a copy of Housefull series with similar traits like a lot of confusion and characters,skinny show by the actresses, funky music etc.

Secondly, its a solo release this Friday. With Holiday being released two weeks back and Ek Villain to be released next week, there is no healthy competition for Humshakals. It has full week to take advantage at Box Office.

Thirdly, comedies mostly work at Box Office as there are takers from metros and multiplexes as well as mass centers. Comedy factor work big time with the family audience. Humshakals has a big star cast with Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Bipasha Basu, Esha, Tammannah, Ram Kapoor. Saif has decent fan following from the metros and multiplexes while Riteish has his own class in comedies. He played an important part in the success of comedies like Heyy babyy, Grand Masti, Kya Cool Hai Hum, Housefull 2 , Grand Masti etc

The only issue that can hinder good opening for Humshakals is that the it haven’t created a huge buzz as expected. Considering the kind of buzz Sajid Khan movies have created earlier Humshalks seems to be on back foot. The music of the movie also haven’t worked with the public. Only two songs Caller Tune and Piya ke Bazaar me are bearable.

With all above points in mind, i can say that it would not be a bumper opening for Humshakals tomorrow. Humshakals should get an opening day of around 10 crores. I feel that it will not be a big hit like Sajid Khan’s Housefull series. It would be a moderate success at Box Office.
