Hrithik Roshan signs a huge satellite deal of 550 crores!
Greek God Hrithik Roshan has signed the most high-profile satellite rights deal of Bollywood after Ajay Devgn, Varun Dhawan and Salaman Khan. All these actors signed a deal of 400, 300 and 500 crores respectively with Star Network, while Hrithik Roshan sings a huge satellite rights deal of 550 crores for six movies also with Star Network.
Going by a source close to the actor, “Hrithik’s last four films, over the last five years, from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara in 2011 and Agneepath in 2012 to Krrish 3 the following year and Bang Bang in 2014, all did well commercially which is the reason that this deal was inked. In fact, 2017 will begin with a bang for him with his home production Kaabil, a Sanjay Gupta-directed action-drama, which along with Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees will be one of the first big films of the year to unveil on the Republic Day weekend.Even before the film went on the floors, satellite rights were sold for Rs 45 crore.”
If you remember, Salman Khan’s last two films Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo broke all possible existing TRP Records by getting around 60-65 crore for his films. Do you think Hrithik’s films will be able to earn 90 crores? The deal with Star Network is expected to start next year with the release of Kaabil.
