Housefull 3 First Day Collection | 2nd Highest Opening Of 2016

Housefull 3 First Day Collection- With the collection of 15.21 crores, Housefull 3 registered the second highest opening of 2016.

As predicted by us, Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan starrer Housefull 3 opened to good numbers at the domestic Box Office. Released on 3700 screens in India, the movie saw an occupancy of around 40% on the first day, which is the third best of 2016 after Fan and Baaghi. Housefull 3 first day collection is 15.21 crores. The movie has beaten the first day collection of Baaghi(11.94 crores) and Airlift(12.35 crores).

The average occupancy in mass centers and multiplexes remains same on the first day which comes as a big surprise. Housefull 3 underperformed in some mass centers like MP and UP where it was expected to open big. The movie is performing best in Punjab, Rajasthan, Mumbai and Delhi. The opening is better than Akshay Kumar’s movies like Baby, Gabbar is Back and Airlift.

The presence of a big star cast and hit franchise factor has provided a good foundation to the movie at the Box Office. Despite mixed reviews by critics, the movie has shown good growth throughout the opening day, thanks to positive WOM from the moviegoers.

With the collection of 15.21 crores, Housefull 3 is now the second highest opening day grosser for Akshay Kumar, beating Brothers, Rowdy Rathore and Airlift.

The trade experts were expecting Housefull 3 to beat the opening day of Shahrukh Khan’s Fan (19.2 crores) but that didn’t happen. The WOM of the general audience is positive and we are expecting Housefull 3 to show good growth over the weekend. A 50+ crore opening weekend is certainly on the cards.
