Game of Thrones is one of the most loved and most-watched web series around the world. This series acclaimed many awards in its 9-year run. The final season was not up to the bar, which was set by the previous seasons of Game of Thrones, and viewers were very disappointed. But the viewers need not to be disappointed anymore because Game of Thrones is coming with its prequel House of the Dragon.
House of the Dragon
House of the Dragon is based on the book Fire and Blood written by George R.R. Martin. Martin and Ryan Condal will serve as co-creators. Miguel Sapochnik and Condal will be showrunners, and the pair will also serve as executive producers along with Martin and Vince Gerardis.
Plot & Storyline: What to expect?
House of the Dragon will be based on the incidents of House Targaryen which took place 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones. It will convey about the Targaryen kings starting from Aegon the Conqueror to Aegon III. It will show how Aegon Targaryen conquered Westeros and bought it under his rule. How he was able to unite the Seven Kingdoms? How he became the true king of the Seven Kingdoms?
We can also expect to see Dance of the Dragon, a civil war among the Targaryens. This series has a key advantage because the source material is from George R.R. Martin, the lack of which ultimately had a very bad final season. One of the other good things about House of the Dragon is that it comes from a book so that it made it a little bit more of a road map for a series order.

There is no official trailer of House of the Dragon by HBO. HBO officially confirmed that they will come up with a prequel.

Release Date
Like Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon is a big project. It will take a lot of time in production and post-production. While there is no announcement regarding its release date, it is expected that the show will premiere in 2022.
