Holiday And Filmistaan – An Action Thriller vs Comic Caper | Movies This Week.

The wait for the fans of Akshay Kumar is over as Holiday releases on this Friday (June 6). It is also one of the awaited movies of this year and the first big release after Salman Khan’s Jai Ho which  was released in January. This week will also see a small budget movie Filmistaan which deals with the Indo-Pak relations but in a funny way.

Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty

Holiday is directed by A.R. Murugadoss (director of Ghajini) and produced by Vipul Shah & Aruna Bhatia. It is presented under the banner of Reliance Entertainment, Sunshine Pictures Pvt. Ltd and Hari Om Entertainment Co. 

The movie is a Hindi remake of 2012 Tamil Blockbuster Movie Thuppakki starring Vijay and Kajal Agarwal in lead roles. It was also directed by A.R. Murugadoss.

The star cast features Akshay Kumar as Captain Viraat Bakshi and Sonakshi Sinha as the main leads while Freddy Daruwala will be seen as the antagonist. Govinda is also playing a vital role in the film.

Filmistaan

The movie is written and directed by Nitin Kakkar while produced by Shyam Shroff, Balkrishna Shroff, Subhash Chaudhary, Shaila Tanna and Siddharth Roy Kapoor. It is presented by UTV Spotboy.

The film stars Sharib Hashmi as Sunny, Inaamulhaq as Aftab,  Kumud Mishra as Mehmood and Gopal Dutt as Jawwad.

The plot revolves around an assistant director Sunny who wants to become a star but fails in every audition. Soon he joins an American production house and goes to  Rajasthan for a documentary film with them. On reaching there, he is kidnapped by a terrorist group from Pakistan. From here the hilarious events start and how Cine Maa (Bollywood) helps in developing a bond between Sunny and his kidnappers, forms the crux of the film.

The film has received great praises and won awards in national and internal film festivals across the globe. The film was screened at the Busan International Film Festival, the Mumbai Film Festival, and the International Film Festival of Kerala, where it won The Silver Crow Pheasant Award.

    Akshay kumar this movie is also a some reason and akshay kumar not a do timepass movie .
