The two new releases of Bollywood, Hit: The First Case and Shabaash Mithu, are off to a poor start at the box office. While both movies have received decent reviews, the opening day numbers are way below expectations. Let’s have a detailed look at the first-day box office report of Hit The First Case and Shabaash Mithu.

Hit: The First Case Box Office Collection Day 1

The movie is an official Hindi remake of a 2020 Telugu language movie of the same name. Starring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra, Hit: The First Case is directed by Sailesh Kolanu.

As per the early estimates, the Rajkummar Rao starrer earned around Rs 1.4 Crore on its opening day. This is even less than his last release Badhaai Do, which was the first Bollywood release after the third COVID-19 wave.

Hit: The First Case is garnering mixed reviews from critics. However, the viewers are liking it. It remains to be seen, how it performs at the box office in the coming days.

Movies Released in Theatres on July 15

Shabaash Mithu Box Office Collection Day 1

The next theatrical release this week is Taapsee Pannu’s Shabaash Mithu. The movie showcases the rise of women’s cricket in India through the life of former Indian’s women cricket team captain Mithali Raj.

Shabaash Mithu is getting appreciation from the audience but the box office opening is below par. As per early reports coming, Taapsee Pannu starrer has failed to touch even Rs 1 Crore mark on its first day. Srijit Mukherji’s directional will need a huge turnaround from here to have any chance at the box office.

Last week’s release, Thor: Love and Thunder remained the first choice for moviegoers. The Marvel biggies earned Rs 2 Crore (approx.) on the eighth day of its release. It has already collected more than Rs 84 Crore at the Indian box office.
