Highest Opening Day Collection Bollywood 2020 – Baaghi 3, Tanhaji, Love Aaj Kal and Street Dancer 3D are the highest opening day grossers of 2020 till 7 March 2020.

2019 wasn’t a very good year as only two movies collected Rs 40+ crore on the first day. 8 movies got off to an opening of Rs 20+ crore. However, the scenario is expected to change in 2020. The year will see the release of some most anticipated movies like Sooryavanshi, Baaghi 3, Radhe, Lal Singh Chaddha, Prithviraj etc. All these movies are expected to take an earth-shattering opening at the box office. 2020 has started on an average note as none of the films releases till date has got a flying start. Today, we are looking at the list of movies with the highest opening day collection Bollywood 2020.

Top Opening Day Grossers 2020

Baaghi 3 (18 Crore)

Released on 4400 screens, Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Baaghi 3 is off to a very good opening. It collected Rs 18 crore on the first day.

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior (15.3 Crore)

Ajay Devgn’s Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is currently the top opening day grosser of 2020. It collected Rs 15+ crore on its opening day. However, after an average opening, the film is having a blockbuster run at the box office. It has crossed Rs 275 crore mark.

Love Aaj Kal (12.40 Crore)

Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan’s romantic film Love Aaj Kal got off to a very good opening. With the collection of Rs 12.40 crore, it is currently the third highest opening day grosser of 2020.

Street Dancer 3D (10.26 Crore)

Love Aaj Kal is followed by Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Street Dancer 3D. Remo D’ Souza’s directional collected Rs 10.26 crore on its first day. It had an average box office run with the lifetime collection of Rs 75.5 crore.

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan (9.55 Crore)

Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ got off to a pretty good opening as it earned Rs 9.55 crore on its opening day.

Malang (6.71 Crore)

Disha Patani and Aditya Roy Kapur action-thriller film Malang collected Rs 6.71 crore on its opening day. It is in the sixth position in the list.

Bhoot: The Haunted Ship (5.10 Crore)

Karan Johar’s first horror film ‘Bhoot: The Haunted Ship’ opened on expected lines. The film collected Rs 5.10 crore on its first day.

Chhapaak (4.77 Crore)

Deepika Padukone’s Chhapaak is in the seventh position with the opening day collection of Rs 4.77 crore. The film also tanked at the box office with the lifetime collection of Rs 34.2 crore.

Jawaani Jaaneman (3.24 Crore)

Saif Ali Khan, Tabu and Alaya Furniturewala starrer Jawaani Jaaneman had a decent box office opening with the collection of Rs 3.24 crore.

Thappad (3.07 Crore)

Taapsee Pannu starrer Thappad collected Rs 3.07 crore on its opening day. It is currently the 10th highest opening day groosser of 2020.

Panga (2.70 Crore)

Kangana Ranaut’s Panga had a poor opening. It collected Rs 2.70 crore on its first day. The film is a box office flop with the lifetime collection of around Rs 28 crore.
