Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty made a dream debut yesterday with Salman Khan’s production ‘Hero’.  Directed by Nikhil Advani, Hero is an official remake of 1983 movie of the same name which starred Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Sheshadre in lead roles. The movie has been superbly promoted by Salman Khan and the hype and buzz surrounding it is huge. Let’s have a look at the screen count, budget and other details of the movie.

Hero Screen Count
The movie was released yesterday on 2200 screens across the country. This is a huge screen count for a movie which marks the debut of a male and female lead. Taking about the distribution of screens, 40% of screens are allocated to single screens while 60% are allocated multiplexes and metros. Outside India, the movie was released on around 300+ screens.

Hero Budget
Salman Khan has put in a lot of effort and money behind this project. The total production cost of the movie is around 25 crores. Around 12 crores were spent on advertising and promotion. Total budget is around 35 crores. Satellite rights has already been sold for 8 crores while music rights recovered around 3 crores.

Hero Run Time
The movie was passed by CBFC on 8 Sep 2015 with U/A certificate after some edits in the original version. The total run time of the movie is 131 minutes.

Overall, Salman Khan drained it out to make it a perfect debut for the two youngsters. The movie has created enough buzz to get a decent start at Box Office. Even a decent weekend of around 22 crores ensures that the movie will be a profitable venture for its makers.
