The first look poster of ‘Haseeno’ starring Shraddha Kapoor in the lead is out. The actress who was last seen in ‘OK Jaanu’ opposite Aditya Roy Kapur has shed her glamorous look to play the character of Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar.
‘Haseena: The Queen Of Mumbai’ is a biopic on gangster Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar. It was Haseena who took charge of Dawood’s business in Mumbai. Parker died in 2014 due to cardiac arrest.
Initially, Sonakshi Sinha was offered Haseena’s role but she refused it citing the date issues. The role later went to Shraddha who decided to take on the challenge in what turns out to be a career defying performance for her.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Haseena also stars Shraddha’s brother Siddhanth Kapoor (Dawood Ibrahim) and Sharman Joshi. The movie is slated for release on 14 Jul 2017.
