Happy New Years’ second friday opened up with a normal day simulation but saw a rise in advance ticketing for late night shows across tier 1 cities. Based on these trends and lack of any big banner flick on box office, it can be said that HNY does have a clear cheat field at box office this weekend.
It will be interesting to see how no competition helps HNY to gross some big numbers in second weekend. The flick has already grossed 157.57 Crores in First Week, Happy New Year’s First Week Box Office Collections stands at 3rd place after Kick and Bang Bang.
Having a look at Happy New Year’s performances from Monday onwards 15 Cr, 13 Cr, 11.5 Cr and finally 9.14 Crs on Thursday, leaves another picture of the flick’s inability to hold the crowd. However, it is estimated per trends that the movie would reach around 7 Crs on Second Friday i.e. Day 8 of the Box Office.
