Akshay Kumar and Mouni Roy starer historical sports drama film Gold was released on 15 Aug 2018. The movie was released with huge expectations but it failed to meet those expectations. After a huge opening day, it somehow maintained its pace over the first weekend, but fall flat after that. The clash with John Abraham’s Satyamev Jayate has also affected its lifetime collection. As per the reports, the movie made a pre-release recovery of around 60 crore through digital, satellite and overseas rights.

Everyone was expecting it to become Akshay Kumar’s highest grossing movie but it fall flat after the first weekend.
