Though the movie has crossed 100 crore mark, it certainly has under performed at the box office. The expectations were high especially after a huge opening day (25.25 crores).

Gold earned 25.25 crores on its first day to register the third highest opening of 2018. However, the movie failed to took advantage of good opening and positive reviews. It took 13 days to enter 100 crore. In an ideal scenario, it should have crossed 100 crore mark in the extended first week.
Made on a budget of 85 crores, the movie manages to get a hit tag but the expectations were high. Everyone was expecting it to cross at least 150 crores.
With no chances of revival, it is expected to wrap up its box office journey well under 110 crores. Once again, Akshay Kumar failed to deliver a big hit at the box office.
