Gangubai Kathiawadi box office collection: Alia Bhatt’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ had a super strong opening week with the domestic box office collection of Rs 68.93 Crore.
After a superb opening, ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ remained strong throughout the first week. As per Taran Adarsh, Alia Bhatt starrer collected around Rs 5.4 Crore on Thursday (Day 7) to end the opening week on a terrific note. The first-week collection of Gangubai Kathiawadi is Rs 68.93 Crore. These are excellent numbers for a niche movie.

Released on Feb 25 Gangubai Kathiawadi exceeded expectations and collected Rs 10.5 Crore on its opening day. It witnessed superb growth over the weekend thanks to positive WOM and reviews. In its first weekend, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directional added Rs 39.12 Crore to its kitty from the domestic box office.
Alia Bhatt starrer continues to shine at the box office on weekdays. It took full advantage of the Mahashivratri holiday and earned Rs 10.01 Crore on Tuesday.

With around Rs 70 Crore in its kitty, Gangubai Kathiawadi is now looking to breach the Rs 100 Crore mark. If it holds well in the second weekend then Rs 100 Crore is guaranteed. It will be the fourth Hindi movie to cross the Rs 100 Crore mark at the domestic box office post-pandemic. The other three are Sooryavanshi (Rs 196 Crore), 83 (Rs 108.85 Crore) and Pushpa: The Rise (Rs 110 Crore).
Gangubai Kathiawadi Box Office Economics
The total budget of the movie is around Rs 175 Crore including the promotion, publicity and advertising costs. The producers have recovered around Rs 110 Crore through satellite, digital and music rights. It leaves Rs. 65 crore to be recovered from theatrical revenue.
Gangubai Kathiawadi should cross the Rs 100 Crore to become a box office hit.
