Fukrey Returns 1st Day Box Office Collection: As predicted by us, Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma starrer Fukrey Returns is off to a decent opening at the domestic box office. As per numbers shared by Taran Adarsh, Fukrey Returns earned 8.1 crores on Friday. The first day collection of the movie is actually way better than our expectations. Fukrey Returns 1st Day Box Office Collection & Occupancy Report
The movie opened to 25% to 30% occupancy in the morning shows which is decent start. As expected, the movie recorded best opening in the Delhi/NCR region due to local flavour. The morning shows occupancy in Delhi/NCR region was around 40%.
The movie received good reviews from the critics. The word of mouth of the general audience is also positive. Most of the people have enjoyed this desi mad comedy. Good reviews and positive WOM helped the movie as it witnessed good growth in the evening and night shows.
The overall occupancy on the first day was around 45%. This is a good start for a film and we can expect it to grow over the weekend.

Total budget of the movie including the promotion and advertising cost is around 30 crores. Released on around 1700 screens, Fukrey Returns earned 8.1 crores on its first day.
With the collection of 8.1 crores, Fukrey Returns is now the 14th highest opening day grosser of 2017. The first day collection is more than most of low budget films of 2017 like Bareilly Ki Barfi, Tumhari Sulu, Hindi Medium, Shubh Mangal Savdhaan etc. (Read: Box Office report 2017)
With positive reviews coming and audience loving the film, we are expecting a huge jump in collection over the weekend. As predicted by us, the first weekend collection of the movie will cross 25 crores.
Fukrey released in 2013 earned 2.6 crores on its opening day. It went on to become the sleeper hit of the year with the lifetime collection of 36 crores.
