After an incredible opening weekend with the collection of 32.2 crores, Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma and Richa Chadda starrer Fukrey Returns remained strong on Monday. The collection on Monday saw a drop of 37% from Friday which is considered a very good hold. As per Taran Adarsh’s tweet, Fukrey Returns 5th day collection is 5.1 crores. The total collection of the movie after four days stands at 37.3 crores. Here is a look at the day-wise collection of the movie:
Day 1: 8.1 crores (14th highest opening day of 2017)
Day 2: 11.3 crores
Day 3: 12.8 crores
First weekend: 32.2 crores (13th highest opening weekend of 2017)
Day 4: 5.1 crores
Delhi and UP remained the top earning circuits
Delhi and UP remained the top earning circuits. As per Box Office India report, the movie earned 1.75 crores on Monday in Delhi and UP region. Single screens are low but the multiplexes across the country are preforming exceptionally well.
The Movie Has Performed Better Than Our Expectations
Made on a budget of 30 crores, the movie has created havoc at the box office. There is no denying that the movie had exceeded all expectations. While most of the trade experts were expecting the movie to earn 15 to 17 crores, the movie has earned 32.2 crores in the first weekend. The experts were expecting 5 crores opening day but the movie has earned it on Monday, a rare feat.
Will Rule The Box Office Till Release Of Tiger Zinda Hai
Bollywood was going through a dull phase since the release of Golmaal Again (Diwali 2017). All movies released in last 6 to 8 weeks have not performed well. With Fukrey Returns performing well, Bollywood takes a sigh of relief. With no big release on next Friday, we can expect Fukrey Returns to make it big at the box office. Fukrey Returns can make big money till the release of Tiger Zinda Hai on 22 Dec 2017. If the movie continues to perform like this then there is an outside chance of an entry to the 100 crore club.
