Freaky Ali Review by Sweta Kaushal from Hindustan Times: Despite the cliches and melodrama, we found Freaky Ali worth the time and money. From the ‘talented actor’ for the intelligentsia to the common man’s entertainer, Siddiqui is one star we love. As for the performance, Siddiqui proves once again that he is the star when it comes to acting.

Freaky Ali Review by Devarsi Ghosh from India Today: Nawaz, who is, frankly, at home playing similar characters in much grounded films with a different cinematic language, does everything possible to add juice to Ali, but Sohail Khan’s Freaky Ali, in itself, is so empty within, that it needed a star of much bigger, grander, and freakier charisma to elevate such sub-par material to enjoyable goofiness.

Freaky Ali Review by Surabhi Redkar from Koimoi: Nawazuddin Siddiqui is the only bright thing about this film. As Ali, his comic timing is spot on and he even manages to get his stance right in the golf scenes. Freaky Ali turns out to be a disappointing affair quite early on. Khan’s direction seems to be very hotch potch and there is little to focus on in any of the scenes.

Freaky Ali Review by Sukanya Verma from Rediff: Under any circumstances, the uniqueness of Nawaz playing hero in a slightly more mainstream skin doesn’t hold up around Freaky Ali’s clumsy wit or contrived romance track with a blank Amy Jackson. The writing itself is too daft and phony to tickle.

Freaky Ali Review by Shubra Gupta from Indian Express: The one person who keeps us watching is Nawaz. His connect with the audience is instant, and he keeps it going with wry one-liners which he delivers with consummate ease. It’s also nice to see him in a light-hearted role. Despite Nawazuddin Siddiqui, this film is the usual tamasha.

Jigar Ganatra ‏@MrJGanatra: #FreakyAli review 1. @Nawazuddin_S’s ease, finesse and charm adds value to his character as Ali. He is good, as always. @SohailKhan The movie is full of lame and old jokes. Poor scripting & forced dialogues make @FreakyAliMovie disappointing.. Music is decent. Not a lot of effort has been put in the music, hence doesn’t make a mark. 4. The movie may cater only to #NawazuddinSiddiqui fans and limited audience. Not for serious movie lovers.
