Force 2 Poster feat. John and Sonakshi

John Abraham, Sonakshi Sinha and Tahir Raj Bhasin starrer Force 2 is all set to hit the big screens on 18 Nov 2016. Directed by Abhinay Deo, Force 2 is a sequel to 2011 hit film Force. Force 2 created decent buzz when the first action packed trailer of the movie was released. The buzz surrounding the movie keeps on dying in the last couple of weeks. Moreover, demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes may also impact the movie. Let’s have a detailed look at Force 2 budget, screen count, economics and Box Office analysis. (Force 2 Box Office Prediction)

Force 2 Budget

The production cost of Force 2 is around 38 crores. With 12 crores spent on advertising, printing and promotions, the total budget of the movie is 50 crores.

Force 2 Screen Count

Force 2 will get a good release as the last week releases haven’t been able to pull audiences to the theatres. As per the reports we have, Force 2 will release on around 2000 screens in India. The screens count may go lower or higher depending on the impact of demonetisation. In overseas, the movie is expected to release on around 270 screens.

Force 2 Economics and Box Office Analysis

The budget of Force 2 is moderate and it needs 55 crores to break even.  Have a look at Box Office economics of Force 2.

Lifetime collection < 50 crores (Flop)
Lifetime collection > 55 crores (Average)
Lifetime collection > 75 crores (Hit)

Lifetime collection > 140 crores (Blockbuster)

Force 2 Expectations

The movie has a potential to make it big provided it won’t get affected by monetisation. John Abraham and Sonakshi Sinha are back in action avatar after their respective films Rocky Handsome and Akira bombed at the Box Office. Force 2 is targeted to the audience in mass centres where the impact of monetisation is severe. If the WOM is really good, the loss in mass centres might be covered up by multiplexes as the audiences in metros pay through cards and online booking.
