Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda starrer ‘Sarbjit’ had a low opening weekend at the domestic Box Office. The movie collected only 13.95 crores in its first weekend which is quite a low number considering the buzz it has created before release. Despite being the solo Bollywood release this week, Sarbjit failed to create significant impact it was expected before its release. The movie did witness decent growth over the weekend but that wasn’t enough to save the show.
The first weekend collection of Sarbjit is even low than biggest flops of the year like Fitoor (14.11 crores) and Rocky Handsome (16.12 crores).
Sarbjit has also been outperformed by the Hollywood release of the week, X-Men Apocalypse. X-Men had a better opening than Sarbjit with the first day collection of 4.51 crores. With the first weekend collection of 16.21 crores, X-Men Apocalypse is ahead of Sarbjit and is expected to be on the same lines on the coming days. Have a look at the first weekend comparison of Sarbjit and X-Men Apocalypse.
