Farzi Becomes Most Watched Indian Web Series; Check Top 10 List

Shahid Kapoor’s Farzi is the most watched Indian web series of all time with a record viewership of 38 million views.

Shahid Kapoor’s Farzi is the most-watched Indian series of all time. A report shared by survey firm Ormax Media has declared Amazon Prime Video’s Farzi as the most-watched SVOD original Indian series of all time. Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi’s Farzi registered a record viewership of 37.1 million till July 2023. As of November 2, 2023, the total views are 38 million.

Sharing the news on social media, Shahid shared a post revealing the data and details. In the caption, he wrote, “THANK YOU All THIS IS AWESOME”

Farzi features an ensemble cast including talented actors Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, Raashii Khanna, Kay Kay Menon, Bhuvan Arora, Regina Cassandra, and Amol Palekar in pivotal roles. The second season of Farzi is expected to be announced soon.

Only SVOD originals are considered in the list. MX Player’s Ashram remains the most-watched Indian original if AVOD is included.

The Night Manager, Farzi and Taaza Khabar are 2023 releases and making it to the top 10 is a clear sign that the OTT audience is growing at a rapid pace in India. The audience is hungry for good content if the creators deliver then the sky is the limit.

AVOD – AVOD is a type of service where users must watch ads in order to view the content they want to watch for free.
