Karan Johar has made the official announcement of making the official remake of South Indian blockbuster Ok Kanmani with Mani Ratnam.
For recreating Ok Kanmani, Karan Johar will be collaborating for the first time ever with filmmaker Mani Ratnam, who produced and directed the original movie. The South Indian movie went on to become a financial success at the box office, performing extremely well in multiplexes in India and overseas.

He later tweeted about the star-cast of the movie. We earlier told you how Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor have accepted the offer of Ok Kanmani’s remake. Karan confirmed the news after this tweet-

A. R. Rahman composed the music of the original movie as well and he will do the same for the Hindi remake. Shaad Ali will be directing the remake. The people behind the remake are such big names that we can’t wait to see the movie.
