Dilwale Holds Well On First Wednesday: 6th day Box Office Collection

Dilwale 6th day Collection: SRK and Kajol starer Dilwale holds well on its first Wednesday, collected 9.2 crores.

Rohit Shetty’s masala potboiler Dilwale is holding well at the Box Office on weekdays. After a good opening weekend with the collection of 65.09 crores, the movie saw a big drop on Monday and collected only 10.09 crores at the box office. The movie on Tuesday and Wednesday holds well with minimal drops. As per early reports, Dilwale first Wednesday collection will be around 8.79 crores.

Dilwale is performing best in West Bengal and East circuit as SRK enjoys a big fan following in these regions. In Delhi and East Punjab circuit, Dilwale has been performing on an average note. In Maharashtra and Gujarat, Bajirao Mastani is way ahead of Dilwale because of its Marathi flavor. Dilwale is holding strong on weekdays as the protest against the movie has weakened and family audiences are more willing to come to theaters.

Dilwale stands at the total collection of 93.39 crores at the end of six days. The movie has now beaten Gabbar Is Back (87 crores) and Singh is Bling (91.5 crores) to become the 7th highest Bollywood grosser of 2015. The second weekend will be critical in deciding the Box Office fate of the movie. Dilwale has to face dual competition from next week as Hollywood blockbuster Star Wars is releasing on 25 Dec 2015.

Despite an average performance, the movie is already in the safe zone thanks to Red Chillies marketing and distribution plan.
