First Thursday Box Office Collection: Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani completed one week today. The flicks were involved in the biggest clash of 2015.
Shahrukh Khan’s Dilwale and Ranveer Singh’s Bajirao Mastani made one of its kind clash at Box Office. With SRK’s giant fans, it was said Bajirao Mastani will lose this battle badly, with wounded box office figures and a lesson for future. But during the first week of this clash, we saw a different story, much close to what was predicted by blogtoBollywood. The Day wise Box Office Collection for Dilwale was surpassed by Bajirao Mastani on Monday itself and since then our dark horse has been giving its best.
Dilwale may enjoy the benefit of mass fan following, but its market was restricted by good reviews for Bajirao Mastani. Average to Bad WOM for Dilwale has also added more destructive force for SRK’s flick. We expect to see some major changes in the screen count this week. With StarWars here to lure some of the multiplex audience, and Bajirao going good, Dilwale may suffer from reducing screen counts at the silver screen.
The reduced screen count, however, will not affect Dilwale until Monday. It is expected that Bajirao Mastani will not collect more on box office during the festive offs, as Dilwale is more of a Bollywood Choice. With things getting back to normal on Monday Bajirao Mastani will again collect more than Dilwale at Box Office.
Dilwale performed slightly better on the first Thursday (7th Day) as compared to its 6th day and collected around 9.26 Crores at Box Office, Bajirao Mastani on the other hand also saw a jump in collections and grabbed 10.52 Crores on its first Thursday.
With this, Dilwale has crossed 100 Crores at Domestic Box Office and Collected 102.65 Crores in total. Bajirao Mastani has so far collected 86.15 Crores and is expected to bypass Dilwale next week.
