Dilwale 2nd Day Collection: Dilwale has maintained a firm hold on Box Office and is looking at 65+ crore in opening weekend.
We had walked you through the 1st-day collection of Dilwale and it was at par with our prediction. Being a working day it was obvious Dilwale won’t meddle with any opening day records. Then as we saw in the close occupancy report of Saturday that Dilwale had maintained a good occupancy, it became very clear towards the closing hours of Saturday that Dilwale will stick to a consistent figure on its 2nd day as well.

Dilwale total collection: 41.09 Crores (Till 2nd day)
Dilwale has received average to good reviews among the audience, and critics. This is working well for the movie and it is able to maintain a strong hold on box office. Dilwale is way ahead of Bajirao Mastani which ended up with 12.8 Crores against Dilwale’s 21 Crores on the first day of the weekend.
Dilwale is 16th highest opening of all time in Bollywood beating the opening day collection of Singh Is Bling (20.67 crores), Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani (19.46 crores) and Ra.One (18.38 crores). Despite a big opening day, Dilwale was affected by its clash with Bajirao Mastani. If Dilwale was released solely, then it could have collected around 33 crores on its opening day.
The total budget of the movie is around 110 crores excluding SRK’s salary. Considering the performance on the 1st and 2nd day, we can expect the movie to recover its budget by the end of the first week.
