Dear Zindagi 4th day Box Office collection: After a superb opening weekend, Dear Zindagi witnessed a drop of more than 50% on its first Monday.
SRK and Alia Bhatt starrer Dear Zindagi witnessed a drop of around 50% on its first Monday. A drop of more than 50% in not considered good for the movie. But since the movie performed above expectations in the first weekend, this drop is acceptable.
Dear Zindagi had a huge opening weekend with the collection of 32.5 crores. This is a huge number for a niche women-centric movie. The presence of SRK has provided the initial boost. Without SRK, the first-weekend collection of the movie would have been 20 crores.
On Monday, the movie witnessed an occupancy of around 35%. This huge drop in occupancy is acceptable as the movie is targeted to the niche audience in metros and multiplexes. The nice audience seems to have already watched it over the weekend.
As per early estimates, the fourth-day collection of the movie will be in the range of 4 to 4.5 crores. The total collection of the movie will be 36+ crores after four days.
The film still needs a decent hold in coming days to be a Box Office hit. Dear Zindagi will face big competition from Vidya Balan’s Kahaani 2. Kahaani 2 is one of the most awaited movies of 2016 as its prequel is considered one of the best thrillers in Bollywood history.
Dear Zindagi is made on a budget of around 50 crores. The producers of the movie are already in the safe zone but the movie still needs to fare well in the coming days to be a profitable venture for the distributors.
Overall the movie did well and lived to the expectations of the people. Well directed and the actors even did a great job in the movie.
