While Salman Khan’s Sultan released on Eid went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters in the history of Indian cinema, all eyes are now set on Aamir Khan’s Dangal.

As per our latest reports, more than 30% of the tickets for the first day have already been booked. The buzz surrounding the movie is growing and it seems that it will take an opening of around 80%. The movie is releasing in Hindi, Tamil and  Telugu. It will enjoy free run across the country for the next two weeks. Let’s have a look at the detailed area-wise advance booking report.

Delhi: Around 25% of the tickets for the first day are booked. Multiplexes and single screens shows are filling fast. The FDFS in most of the multiplexes is Housefull. The evening and nights shows of the first day are filling fast.

Mumbai: Mumbai is a big centre. Around 40% of the tickets for the first day are booked. Even Saturday and Sunday numbers are looking good. The movie will take best opening in this region. Expect huge opening weekend in Mumbai as the advance booking reports are pretty good.

Kolkata: Around 30% of the tickets for the first day are booked. Multiplexes and single screens shows are filling fast.

Bengaluru: Around 25% of the tickets for the first day are booked. The movie will witness huge numbers on Saturday and Sunday as the advance booking reports are good. In 50% of the multiplexes, the evening and night shows are full for Friday.

Punjab and Haryana: Based in Haryana, the movie is excepted to take a big opening there. Haryana and Punjab states are cash oriented states. So, the advance booking reports are not good in these regions.

The movie has received superb reviews from the critics. Most of the critics have touted it as the movie of the year. The movie has received an average rating of 4.2 stars which is the highest of 2016. So, get ready for Dangal. Aamir Khan is ready with another masterpiece.

  1. Please let us know how number of shows are calculated. If its released in 4300 screens does that mean 4300 shows ? Or does it mean 4300 screens x 3 shows a day?
