    • Daniella Pineda as Faye Valentine: A gambling-addicted oblivious who always finds herself in financial debt.
    • Alex Hassell as Vicious: A power-hungry gangster from the Red Dragon Crime Syndicate who was Spike’s ally before their fall out.
    • Elena Satine as Julia: A mysterious woman from Spike’s past who has a complicated romantic history with both him and Vicious.

    The series is developed by André Nemec and written by Christopher Yost. The original composer Yoko Kanno has composed the music for the live-action series.

    The anime comprising 26 episodes was released in Japan in two parts. The first run, from April 3, 1998, to June 26, 1998, on TV Tokyo, included only episodes 2, 3, 7 to 15, 18 and a special. Later that year, satellite network Wowow aired the remaining episodes.

    An anime movie titled Cowboy Bebop: The Movie debuted in Japan on Sep 1, 2001. It is set between episodes 22 and 23 of the anime series. The plot revolves around a strange terrorist, planning to destroy the human population on Mars using an unknown virus. The Bebop crew unites to expose the terrorist and discover the source of the virus.
