Covid-19: Akshay Kumar donates Rs 2 crore to Mumbai Police Foundation

Mumbai Police Commissioner took to Twitter to thank Akshay Kumar for his contribution. The Khiladi, in reply, paid tribute to two constables who died of Covid-19.

Khiladi of Bollywood Akshay Kumar has once again come forward to fight against Coronavirus pandemic. He has donated Rs 2 crore to Mumbai Police Foundation as in Mumbai, the number of positive cases is surging drastically.

On Monday, Mumbai Police Commissioner, Param Bir Singh, took to his Twitter account to thank Akshay Kumar for his contribution.

He tweeted, “Mumbai Police thanks @akshaykumar for contributing Rs 2 Crore to the Mumbai Police Foundation. Your contribution will go a long way in safeguarding the lives of those who are committed to safeguarding the city – the men and women of Mumbai Police.”

In reply, Khiladi Kumar paid tributes to head constables Chandrakant Pendurkar and Sandip Surve, who died while fighting Corona pandemic. Akshay also urged fans to come forward and donate to the foundation.

This is Akshay Kumar’s third major contribution in the fight against Covid-19. He has previously donated Rs 25 crore to the PM-Cares fund and Rs 3 crore to Mumbai’s municipal corporation for PPE (Personal Protective Equipments), Masks and Sanitizers.
