Cobra Kai Season 3: The third season of an American action-drama series Cobra Kai is all set to premiere on Netflix. Read details about its release date, plot, storyline, and more.

Cobra Kai is an American action comedy-drama web series based on The Karate Kid film series. The series is presented in an episodic storytelling format and is set 34 years after the original Karate Kid film (1984). After two successful seasons, the makers have renewed the series for the third season. Since then the fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the next season which was due in 2020.

The first two seasons were premiered on Youtube Premium. On May 28, 2020, Deadline announced that the series would be leaving YouTube and moving to another streaming platform, ahead of the premiere of its third season. The show has moved to Netflix.  Season 1 and 2 are streaming on Netflix.

As YouTube was not interested in renewing the series for a fourth season, the producers wanted to find a platform that would leave that option open. Netflix took over the show and the fourth season has been announced even before the release of the third season.

There is no denying that Cobra Kai received a superb response. It performed far better than expectations. This can be judge by the fact that the series premiere and the season 2 premiere received over 86M views on YouTube. Now, everyone is looking forward to the next season. Cobra Kai Season 3 Plot

In the first season, the action-drama series captured various elements, including a love triangle. It ends with Miguel winning the All-Valley Karate championship.

In Cobra Kai season 2, the students of the Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do dojos exploded into all-out war. A tragedy impacted both Dojo’s and Johnny’s career as a sensei. Daniel’s wife Amanda implemented a law that there would be “no more karate” in their lives.

In the third season, we might see rivals Johnny and Daniel put their differences aside and work together for a common goal. It is confirmed that Daniel will head to Okinawa, Mr. Miyagi’s hometown, and a place they traveled together in The Karate Kid Part two. revealed about the origins of both Miyagi’s and Cobra Kai’s martial arts philosophies.

Besides Ralph Macchio and William Zabka, all of the actors from Cobra Kai season 2 are expected to return for a third season. We saw a lot of young members being added to the cast in the second season. It includes Xolo Maridueña, Mary Mouser, Tanner Buchanan, and Jacob Bertrand, Peyton List. All of them should return. Cobra Kai Season 3 Release Date

The show has been renewed and was originally planned to premiere in 2020. Season 3 was shot in 2019 and the post-production was completed before March. Unlike other shows, Coronavirus has anything to do with the possible delay. The third season was expected to hit in April or May 2020 but that didn’t happen.

Here is some good news for the fans. Cobra Kai Season 3 will start streaming on Netflix on Jan 1, 2021. This is definitely a big New year gift for the fans. Watch the season 3 trailer right here:

 

Cobra Kai Season 3 New Streaming Platform

On May 28, 2020, Deadline Hollywood announced that the series would be leaving YouTube and moving to another streaming platform, ahead of the premiere of its third season. Netflix beats Hulu to acquire Cobra Kai season 3, and also stream future seasons. The streaming giant has also acquired the rights to stream seasons 1 and 2 on a non-exclusive basis.

The first and second seasons of Cobra Kai are available on YouTube Premium and Netflix.
