Another weekend, another box office clash. It has been a case on almost every Friday this year. The two films locking horns this week are Kangana Ranaut’s Simran and Farhan Akhtar’s Lucknow Central. Both movies haven’t really able to make much buzz. It has been a poor year for Bollywood and the same trend is expected to continue this week as well. Simran Box Office Prediction
Kangana Ranaut has been in news lately because of her no hold bar image. The actress is making headlines more for her controversial statements rather than her film. Simran is releasing with almost zero positive hype and Kangana Ranaut is a big reason behind it. She hasn’t promoted her film in a right spirit. Another issue with the film is the director. In his 17 years career, Hansal Mehta has delivered some good movies like Aligarh, CityLights, Shahid but his films have no commercial value. CityLights is his highest grossing movie with the collection of 6.62 crores.
Simran is Hansal Mehta’s most commercial movie till date but still, the buzz is low and the box office fate of the movie is predictable. As per our prediction, the opening day of Simran will be around 3.5 crores. For Simran to work, it needs to be an exceptional film. As per our prediction, the movie will struggle and its lifetime collection will be less than 30 crores.
Lucknow Central Box Office Prediction
Directed by Ranjit Tiwari, Lucknow Central stars Farhan Akhtar, Diana Penty, Deepak Dobriyal, Rajesh Sharma and Gippy Grewal. It marks the debut of Punjabi superstar Gippy Grewal. The movie is based on a real life incident. Like most of the films this year, Lucknow Central also looks like a dead pen.
Releasing with zero noise, the movie will struggle at the box office. As per our prediction, Lucknow Central first day collection will be around 2.5 crores. The movie will find it difficult to cross 25 crores mark in its lifetime.
