Aditya Chopra is back with a sequel to his 2005 crime comedy movie Bunty Aur Babli. Bunty Aur Babli 2 is set years after the events of the first movie. Con-artists and partners-in-crime, Bunty and Babli, are forced out of retirement after a series of robberies with their trademark stamp start taking place across cities. Initially slated for worldwide release in June 2020 and then in April 2021, Bunty Aur Babli 2 was postponed both times due to the pandemic. It finally managed to make it to the theatres on Nov 19, 2021. However, it garnered mixed responses and failed to make much impact at the box office. The streaming giant Amazon Prime Video acquired the streaming rights of four upcoming movies from Yash Raj Films. The gigantic Rs 200 crores deal includes movies, Bunty Aur Babli 2, Prithviraj, Jayeshbhai Jordaar and Shamshera.
‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ OTT Release Date
As per YRF’s deal with Amazon Prime Video, Bunty Aur Babli 2 premiered on the streaming service four weeks after its release in theatres. ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ made its digital debut on Amazon Prime Video on Dec 17, 2021.
