One of the highly anticipated Bollywood movies of 2021, Bunty Aur Babli 2, finally made it to the big screens on Nov 19, 2021. Starring Saif, Rani, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari in leading roles, the crime comedy failed to meet the fans’ expectations. The sequel has failed to impress the critics s well. While netizens applauded Saif-Rani’s chemistry, it seems the movie failed big in the scripting and execution department.

As per a report in boxofficeindia.com, Bunty Aur Babli 2 performed slightly better in Delhi NCR and big cities of East Punjab. This is because it opened on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti which is a major holiday in north India. However, the movie failed to make much impact in other cities including Mumbai. Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi remained the first choice for cine-goers.

Bunty Aur Babli 2 First Day Box Office Collection

Released on 1700 screens in India, Bunty Aur Babli 2 first day collection is Rs 2.6 crores. This is definitely not a great start and the makers would be hoping for a revival over the weekend.

Bunty Aur Babli 2 is a sequel to the 2005 crime comedy movie Bunty Aur Babli. It is set years after the events of the first movie. Con-artists and partners-in-crime, Bunty and Babli, are forced out of retirement after a series of robberies with their trademark stamp start taking place across cities.

One of the reasons for the poor show on the first day is that its digital release date is out. Bunty Aur Babli 2 will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on Dec 17, 2021.
